Your Kids Will Thank You!

My mom was a tall, willowy, blonde and I have a few photos of her when she was young. As she got older the photo taking really fell off and there aren't many photographs of her beyond her forties. I lost her many years ago, and the older I get, the more I wish I had a beautiful portrait of her that I could hang on the wall in my living room to share with my children and my new grandbaby. I wouldn't care if she wasn't at what she thought was her ideal weight, or that her hair wasn't the length/style/color that she hoped it would be or that she hadn't purchased a new outfit for her portrait. It would be her and she was perfect exactly as she was. That portrait would have been the most wonderful gift I could ask for.

That was part of the reason I wanted to create the 50 Over 50 experience. It is wonderful for us as women; great for our confidence and as a reminder that we are still not only beautiful, but a force to be reckoned with! It's great for everyone around us who feels the renewed positive energy we bring. It's a wonderful example for other women; mothers, daughters, sisters, friends and relatives, to see us thriving and owning this part of our lives! It's also a wonderful gift to our children and their children; a legacy for them to cherish. So, if you ever wonder if it might be selfish to invest in yourself with a portrait experience, consider that one day your family will likely be very grateful that you did.
